It is fine to have a verbal agreements, but it’s even better to have a written document with every house cleaning customer… just to make sure that everything is understood – exactly.

So, what are your business’ terms and conditions?

Here are 3 important things to include in your terms and conditions.

THEIR EXPECTATIONS:

A. The cleaning schedule. Days of service and time of day.

B. Who supplies the cleaning material?

C. A quality service at every appointment.

YOUR EXPECTATIONS:

A. Payment on time and as agreed.

B. Accessibility – no issues with entry or working in any areas of the house.

C. Consideration – tidy before service, a workable space, and respect.

The UNEXPECTED:

A. Cancellations – especially last minute.

B. Vacationing customers. This usually means that you don’t get paid.

C. Any violation of the above listed expectations.

"Things" happen and its best to have something expressed/in writing that will help outline the business relationship (A CONTRACT) you have with each customer. Again, verbal agreements are fine, but a written house cleaning agreement can be more solid.
